Who am I?

Morgan Henry is a Georgia born audio engineer, bassist, and composer based out of Western North Carolina. He completed his bachelor's degree in commercial music and audio production at Western Carolina University with honors. He worked on several film genres such as documentaries and drama as a location sound engineer. One such mentioned project is the documentary “Where There Are Bees, There Is Honey”, a gripping look into the history of Appalachian drag culture, and the current scene in and around the area. There were several interviews with experts and practitioners of the subject, as well as challenging recordings at several live drag shows. He has also worked on several challenging scenes on other films like recording dialogue in moving vehicles, on the back of trailers, and tender sentimental moments where soft voices need to be heard clearly.  

During his time at Western Carolina, he learned how to do postproduction work on film and foley recording in the studio. His pro tools experience helps his workflow stay consistently ahead of others in the same classes, and his eye for detail makes sure that little slips past. He also helped compose for a student film there called “Blue Hawk and the Hooligans”, a gritty action film based on true events of a band robbing a bank to get money for their tour. Not only did he write the music, but he also mixed and mastered the song for the film as well. He has experience with several DAW’s and has mixed and mastered several amateur recordings of not just himself, but other local artists as well.
